SLIIT - Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology

  • Bachelor of Science (Hons) Architecture
    • The first 2 years of this programme is conducted by SLIIT and it is recognized as being equivalent to the first two years of the Liverpool John Moores University architecture degree in terms of quality, standard and the outcome of the programme. Upon the successful completion of the first two years of the SLIIT Architecture bachelor’s programme, students will progress to the third year where they register directly with the Liverpool John Moores University in UK to complete their BSc (Honors) Degree in Architecture while being at the SLIIT School of Architecture in our Malabe campus in Sri Lanka. Third year syllabus and curriculum conducted at the SLIIT School of Architecture, is completely based on the Liverpool John Moores curriculum and the degree is awarded directly by Liverpool John Moores university, UK at completion of the 3rd year.
  • BA (Hons) Interior Design
    • Liverpool John Moores University’s BA (Hons) Interior Design degree programme at SLIIT School of Architecture provides students to work on authentic architectural projects with input from practicing architects and interior design specialists in a dynamic studio environment with industry-standard technical facilities. This program emphasizes creative inspiration and philosophical interpretation of broader issues, resulting in complex design projects. the interior design modules are formulated to help students to develop the sensitivity as a designer to respond to creative adaptation, repurposing, remodeling, restyling, and refitting of new and existing buildings and spaces when designing and to instill the skills required to use of a range of communication mediums to convey design ideas including drawings, models, and graphics. Subject knowledge is primarily gained through studio environments that are seamlessly briefed by lectures, tutorials, and workshops.
  • Master of Science Architecture
    • This is a fulltime two-year Master’s degree in Architecture offered by the Liverpool John Moores University in UK at SLIIT School of Architecture in Sri Lanka. The students will directly register with both SLIIT and LJMU for both the years of study since the entire degree programme is offered by LJMU. Students having a LJMU BSc (Hons) Architecture degree or any other bachelor’s level degree (minimum 3 year) in Architecture are eligible to apply for this MSc Architecture postgraduate degree at SLIIT. What can you do after MSc: This programme groom students become skilled professionals in the current global trend in the field of architectural practice and in academia. After completing the Master’s degree students will be able to start work as Junior Architects in Architectural firms under Chartered Architects or join government institutes or authorities. With the postgraduate degree, the students can pursue research to continue education up to PhD levels. With Part 1, 2 professional qualification from SLIA, students will be eligible to sit for Chartered Examinations (part-3) conducted by Sri Lanka Institute of Architects following a required, monitored training period.
